Oh wow are we excited! We have reached and exceeded our $5,000 goal for completing the new basketball court in the Kenwick Community Park! We managed to raise $5,542.66 with 127 donations and an average donation of $43.64. In addition to these funds we obtained a matching NAMP grant for $6,800. We will be ordering and hand delivering the shirts and stickers in August. As of August 14th, the concrete and the new goal has been installed, we are just waiting on the lines to be painted. Remaining funds will be applied to our next phases of purchasing new amenities -- swings, picnic tables, native plantings, and trees -- so more of the neighborhood can enjoy the park.
The annual yard sale is being held this year on September 12th. Please join us for some outdoor fun and help keep everyone healthy by wearing your mask and keeping a distance where possible!
Due to the pandemic and the current statewide mandate, masks are required “while in outdoor public spaces in which a person cannot maintain a physical distance of 6 feet from an individual who is not in your household”. This applies to hosting a yard sale or visiting a yard sale! We will not be able to provide enforcement of this mandate, so please be kind and protect yourself and your neighbors. High-risk individuals may consider not attending, or proceeding with extra caution.
