Kenwick Bungalow Tour

The Kenwick Neighborhood Association presents the 2011 Kenwick Bungalow Tour on Sunday, June 12, 1-5 p.m. The tour is a perfect illustration of this near-downtown neighborhood that blends traditional and modernized homes and gardens, and the diverse blend of Lexingtonians who call it home.

Eight homes and/or gardens, plus the Kenwick Community Center, will be stops on the tour that will also feature homemade refreshments served on the lawn of the neighborhood’s oldest house, located at 116 Lincoln Avenue. Streets represented on the tour are Owsley, Lincoln, Preston, and Sherman avenues, and Richmond Road. While every house may not be a bungalow, each one will show a different aspect of Kenwick’s unique personality.

Tickets are $5 and are available on the day of the tour at Victory Christian Church, located at the corner of Owsley and Cramer Avenues. Parking and restrooms will also be located at the church. A painting by local artist Charles Jolly will be raffled at the ticket sales location. All proceeds from the event benefit the Kenwick Neighborhood Association.
