Calling all KIDS, families, neighbors.........join us this
With the new, upcoming school year and our little ones on foot, bikes, scooters & strollers, let's remind drivers, speeders and ourselves to be a little bit more observant. Kids will be painting bright, fun, funky yard signs with important messages...plus a whirligig or two...to remind drivers to: SLOW DOWN, Kids on Bikes, We ♥ our children, KIDS AT PLAY, etc. We are looking for neighbors to adopt these signs and bring awareness and ART to our streets.
Bring your kids dressed for messy action + FUN!!
Saturday, August 8 from 10 am to 1 pm at the Victory Christian Church Community Garden
Please contact Jarah Jones at firstname.lastname@example.org for any questions, to adopt a sign, to volunteer with painting or "planting" signs.
Should there be rain............we will change the date!

It is Bungalow Tour time again and we are looking for volunteers. The Tour will be Sunday, June 14th from 1 to 5 pm. This is a great opportunity to get involved in a fun event and meet some great neighbors. Volunteers will receive free admission to the tour so we ask volunteers to sign up for a two hour shift to allow for plenty of time for them to go on the tour.
Volunteers shifts will be either 12:45-3:00 pm or 3:00-5:00 pm. We are looking for volunteers to help us with:
House monitoring. These folks act as front door monitors confirming attendees have their ticket/programs or as monitors inside the home.
Ticket sales. Tickets will be $7 and sales will be on the Victory Christian Church lawn.
COOKIE BAKERS! We offer free refreshments on the tour and home-baked cookies are needed (2-3 dozen per baker would be great!). These can be dropped off early or on the day of the tour.
If you have any questions or if you would like to volunteer for any of these positions please email Sara at kenwickneighbors or call 859-221-8350.
The Kenwick Spring Carnival will take place on April 22, 2015 from 6-8pm at 313 Owsley Avenue. Everyone is invited for a great evening of fun. We have tools to share as well. If you are coming Sunday only gloves are needed. Children are welcome to help too!

Just a reminder that our next Kenwick Neighborhood Association general meeting will be tomorrow night, March 24th from 7:00 - 8:30 pm at the Kenwick Center (313 Owsley Avenue).
This should be a very informative meeting as we will have two guest speakers, representatives from Code Enforcement and representatives from Animal Control. Code Enforcement representatives will be speaking starting at 7:00 pm about how to use their office to improve your neighborhood and answer questions. Animal Control officers will be speaking at 7:30 pm to tell us more about their office and will be available to answer questions.
