Kenwick Bungalow Tour 2026

The Kenwick Neighborhood Association presents the 2026 Kenwick Bungalow Tour on Sunday, September 20, 1-5 p.m. This tour includes a delightful mix of renovated and original, small and large, splendid and quirky homes and gardens that make up Kenwick’s unique personality. This event helps the Kenwick Neighborhood Association raise money for projects such as the Kenwick Victory Christian Church Community Garden, park updates, and helps fund neighborhood events.

Date: Sunday, September 20, 2026, 1 to 5 p.m.

Location: All homes will be in the Kenwick neighborhood. Ticket booklets with maps can be picked up starting at 1:00 pm on the day of the tour at the Victory Christian Church parking lot on Owsley Avenue behind the church.

Tickets: Available for $10 on the day of the tour or advance purchase tickets can be purchased on EventBrite below.

    Kenwick Porchfest

    August 31st, 4-9pm

    Stroll the Kenwick neighborhood and hear a broad range of music. Or you can find a porch that’s playing your favorite and stake out a place nearby to sit and listen for a while. There will be something for everyone. Free event. Donations can be made to the musicians playing the day of the event.

    Kenwick Yard Sale

    September 7th, 8am – 2pm

    Time to gather up those items you no longer use and join the annual neighborhood yard sale. All neighborhood residents are invited to participate. The cost is $5.00, which helps pay for advertising (Facebook, Nextdoor, Craigslist), and signs. You can send a check made out to Kenwick Neighborhood Association to Leeann Murphy, 271 Bassett Avenue Lexington, KY 404502 or via PayPal to kenwickneighbors@gmail.com, just be sure to include your name and address to be included in the ads and maps.

    Kenwick Block Party

    September 28th, 3-7pm

    The block party is back this year and we are going to try it again on Cramer. Come and socialize with neighbors and check out some local vendors. Bring a chair or just yourself. Wilson’s will be open for drinks and snacks. Check out the event in the Facebook Group for updated information.

While every house may not be a bungalow, each one will show a different aspect of Kenwick’s unique personality. This event helps the Kenwick Neighborhood Association raise money for projects such as the Kenwick Victory Christian Church Community Garden, park updates, and helps fund neighborhood events.

    Date: Sunday, June 9, 2024, 1 to 5 p.m.

    Location: Tickets booklets can be purchased at Victory Christian Church parking lot on the corner of Cramer and Owsley Avenues. Homes will be in the Kenwick neighborhood.

    Kenwick Park Updates

    More upgrades are coming to Kenwick Park! Back in 2021, the Kenwick Neighborhood Association worked with the city to remove the old non-regulation basketball court and install a new regulation half court. This was done to free up space so that swings can be added. Unfortunately, due to some other work happening in the park, we weren’t able to get the swings installed last year. But, with the help of another grant from the city, we will have a disc/saucer swing installed soon. Hopefully we will be able to have it installed this Spring and have it ready just in time for the good weather. We are still working on the full swing set, but this one step towards making a park that everyone can enjoy.
